This place has got a ton of charm. It is an old school breakfast diner in a converted house. They are usually pretty busy but the service is fast. Classic New England diner breakfast (and lunch)!

Parker's Maple Barn

A friend tipped me off tho this place. Said the food is "SIMPLE AND DELICIOUS."that I should make a plan to get there. Parkers Maple Barn is very well known throughout New England and beyond for their famous hearty breakfast menu served all the time. Our most popular breakfast is the Parkers Maple Barn Special, and special it is: two pancakes, two eggs, bacon, ham and sausage or all ham hash, homefries and thick homemade toast served with our own Pure Maple Syrup! Our made to order waffles are a great hit too! Have it plain with our syrup or add fruit and whip cream! Lunch is served daily from 11:30 to close. Choose from many of our wonderful entrees such as Maple or BBQ Ribs. We slow cook them for several hours with our own Maple Syrup!! Mmm...We also have Roast Turkey, Roast Beef, Burgers and Sandwiches. Our homemade soups and chowder make a great start for a meal. And don`t forget dessert...typical choices are homemade pie, Indian pudding, grapenut custard and apple crisp!!

This location is very clean with polite employees. Breakfast, Lunch or Dinner are all worth a visit, but go for the breakfast. It's all about bacon for me, but a nice omelet on the side is good too. For you cheese lovers out there, grab two plates, fill the first one with bacon and hand the second one to the omelet chef. Order the omelet the way you want it, but ask for extra cheese inside it and on top. Take your plate of bacon to the table then go back for the omelet, it should be done by now. If not, use your time wisely and load-up another plate of bacon that you can eat while waiting. When the omelet is ready head over to the salad bar for more cheese, here you can add as much as the plate will hold. Next head over to the taco bar and pour over some nacho cheese, don't worry that the shredded cheddar mound of a plate wont hold any more, the melted nacho cheese will just soak into the porous shredded cheese. Then all that's left is to grab one more plate of bacon just in case you're there past the time they serve breakfast. For onion and mushroom lovers, don't forget to look for the sauteed mushrooms and onion to top of the omelet. Then just head back to the table and grab a Diet Coke. Enjoy!

Al's Breakfast
Minneapolis, MN

In Minneapolis, there's an area just to the North of the University of Minnesota East Bank Campus called Dinkytown. The origin of the name remains something of a mystery, but that's not what this page is about. This is home to Al's. At a width of ten feet (3 m), with seating for 14, Al's Breakfast is reportedly the narrowest restaurant in the city of Minneapolis. In 2004, Al's Breakfast won a James Beard Foundation award in the "America's Classics Restaurants" category. The menu is considered to have a number of superb selections including buttermilk pancakes, bacon waffles, hash browns, and eggs prepared in a number of different styles including Omelets (A favorite is the Smoky Jose). Corned beef hash is incredible & made from scratch. There are also some seasonal items.

Good Day Cafe
Arlington, TX

A Texas influenced menu with Tex-Mex,Sandwiches ,Burgers, Salads, and a whole lot of entrees. Chicken fried steak, Chicken fried chicken,Catfish,Shrimp,Pork Chops,Steaks and sides. Biscuits, of course, are a signature menu item at most breakfast houses, and Good Day’s biscuits are homemade, distinctive, and delicious: tall and square, with a consistency more like that of cake than biscuits and a slightly sour, salty aftertaste that made them a lot better with butter than a sweet biscuit would have been. The side of cream gravy was smooth and gooey without being gloppy, a little peppery, and savory with the light taste of pork pan drippings.
