Moody's began in 1927 when "P.B." Moody built 3 small cabins renting for $1.00 per person. In 1930 a small restaurant was opened at the entrance road to the cabins. At the present time, grandsons Steve Moody and Dan Beck are in management positions. There are now 31 members of the family working in various aspects of the business, many of them great-grandchildren. It is a "family tradition" in every sense of the word The blueberry muffins have garnered a gold medal from the Culinary Hall of Fame, Gourmet magazine has requested the recipe for the world-famous walnut pie, and Saveur magazine named the whoopie pie one of the 100 top food finds of the year in 1999. For 80 years, Moody's Diner has been a national icon, serving great food to more than a million satisfied customers. Alvah Moody figured that if you roast a turkey upside-down, its juices would flow toward the breast and make that dry portion of meat juicer. That's what you're served at Moody's, along with fresh mashed potatoes, gravy made from a recipe instead of a jar, and a homemade dessert like lemon meringue or walnut pie.

Quite a Kids Menu:All kid’s meals include a small milk, chocolate milk, or soda, plus a chocolate chip cookie or a whoopie(The whoopie pie (alternatively called a gob, black-and-white, bob, or "BFO" for Big Fat Oreo) is an American baked good that may be considered either a cookie, pie, or cake. It is made of two round mound-shaped pieces of chocolate cake, or sometimes pumpkin or gingerbread cake, with a sweet, creamy filling or frosting sandwiched between them pie-Just in case you're wondering)
