August 1, 1931 was a landmark day in Birmingham’s history. On that day, hundreds of people celebrated the opening of the Birmingham Grand Trunk and Western Railroad Depot. It has been transformed into the Chophouse/Brewery. Chef Brian Henson’s 14 years of experience at several renowned restaurants, including working as Wolfgang Puck's Executive Sous Chef, garnered him the Executive Chef position at Big Rock Chophouse. The menu is centered around enormous, hand-cut aged steaks, ostrich, lamb racks, lobster, duck and the freshest seafood.

A lovely patio in the front of the building with Umbrella tables in mild weather. You can see why the place is called "Big Rock' on the patio.
