In 1929 , the diner started serving vegetable soup and hot biscuits from a converted railway car. As business grew, the diner expanded into a sprawling white single-story building with broad windows looking out on busy Route 460 Fried chicken, ham biscuits, macaroni and cheese, collard greens and sweet, crunchy peanut pie have been the menu mainstays.Enjoy some of the same peanut delicacies found on Mrs. Davis' original 1929 Diner menu. You'll quickly understand why the Virginia Diner is known to many as "The Peanut Capital of the World!. Whether you crave peanut pie or simply a handful of fresh-roasted peanuts, the Diner is the place to visit. There are not many southern delicacies you will find missing
